How to crop a PDF manually
- Upload a PDF. Enter its password if requested.
- Select a page. The initial crop keeps the full page. Drag a corner handle to resize it, or hold Shift and drag to draw a new selection.
- Move the rectangle by dragging inside. Use X/Y/Width/Height percentages for precise positioning.
- Repeat on other pages, or use Apply crop to all pages. This copies relative percentages; check pages with different layouts.
- Choose all pages, the current page, or a range such as 1-3, 5. Download the new PDF.
Which export mode should I choose?
Vector crop keeps the source page content and changes its visible page boundaries, preserving text and vector detail. It does not permanently remove hidden content and must not be used to redact private information.
Flattened crop renders only your selected rectangle into a new image-based PDF. It excludes the source content outside the crop, but the resulting text is not selectable. Resolution depends on your DPI choice and the original source. Password-protected PDFs use this mode after unlocking.
Cropping does not preserve the source PDF’s digital signature. Interactive forms, annotations and links may not behave identically after export. Keep the original file. This tool replaces the old Aadhaar-specific cropper; use Govt ID Card Cropper for automatic ID-card layouts.
Privacy and limitations
PDF processing happens in your browser. The tool does not upload PDF bytes or save passwords. Internet access is needed for PDF libraries and existing site resources; original site analytics/advertising remain. This version supports one PDF at a time, rectangular crops and 90° rotation. Very large flattened crops may need 150 DPI.
